Requirements for a Call of Duty: Warzone laptop

Major Choosing a processor

Processor for Call of Duty Warzone Pacific Screenshot

Playing this game at a competitive level requires a fast processor. In the case of Call of Duty Warzone Pacific, any modern Intel Core i5/i7 or AMD Ryzen 5/7 will suffice. But if you want to take your performance to the next level, opting for a high-end Intel Core i9/Ryzen 9 is worth it.

It’s important to note that Call of Duty Warzone Pacific can run on a wide range of CPUs, but a weak CPU will cause a significant decrease in competitiveness.

Requirements

COD Warzone can be played on any modern Intel Core i5/i7 or AMD Ryzen 5/7 processors. However, if you want to get competitive and have your hard-earned skills showcased, you’ll need a higher-end Intel Core i9/Ryzen 9 processor.

Recommendations

In short, what should you look for? If you’re looking for the best performance possible from a laptop while playing COD Warzone:

  • i5-10300H or Ryzen 5 4600H – if you are not too worried about restricting game’s settings
  • i7-10875H or Ryzen 7 4800H – if medium-to-high settings is what’s enough for you
  • Intel Core i9-11900H or Ryzen 9 5900HS – the ultimate option for ultra-fast framerates and powerful performance. We’re talking about competitive edge and dominance in all modes

Major The right graphics card

Graphics card for Call of Duty Warzone Pacific Screenshot

If you’re an FPS enthusiast and you want to know which graphics card is best for playing Call of Duty Warzone Pacific, I’ve got you covered. My article covers 3 sections – bare minimum, recommend, and the best video cards for playing COD Warzone on a laptop.

Minimum graphics (under $1000)

I’ll start with a commonly known – this game just won’t run properly with integrated graphics. Even if you manage to somehow enjoy other games on low FPS, this time it’s different – that’s because it’s multiplayer, you cannot make the gameplay easier and other players won’t show you mercy. As such, my bare minimum recommendation is GTX 1650M or RX 5500M. It should manage to squeeze around 50-60 FPS if on Low end of graphics settings. GTX 1660 Ti might be a little more expensive (not too much) but should let you move those settings slightly to the better side.

Recommended graphics ($1000 – $1600)

For this category, I’ll recommend RTX 2070 or newer generation RTX 3060. Both of these will provide you around 75 FPS on high (but maybe not the highest) settings. This is where you can make the most of your money.

Best graphics ($2500 and up)

I’d like to make my final recommendation with the best video cards for playing COD Warzone. I’m talking about RTX 3070, and RTX 3080. These bad boys will really make you competitive among all the blood-thirsty soldiers in the match. Expect around 120 FPS on highest settings.

TL;DR
  • this game won’t run properly with integrated graphics
  • GTX 1650M or RX 5500M are the bare minimum
  • RTX 2070 or newer generation RTX 3060 are recommended
  • RTX 3070 and RTX 3080 are the best graphics cards for playing COD Warzone on a laptop

Major Choosing a memory

RAM for Call of Duty Warzone Pacific Screenshot

If you’re looking for a laptop that will handle games like Call of Duty Warzone Pacific well, there are three crucial aspects to keep in mind. The first one is the graphics card, which is vital component for any gaming laptop. The second is the processor, which you want to be high-end to ensure smooth gameplay. And the third is the RAM, which needs to be plentiful to ensure that it can run the game without a lag!

Minimum (8 GB)

You can get away with 8GB of RAM for playing Warzone if you plan on upgrading with an extra stick later on. Therefore, I must say upgrading RAM in laptop is not always easy. That being said, 8GB of RAM isn’t something I would recommend for people who want to buy a new laptop though. For them, I would recommend getting at least 16GB of RAM so that they don’t have to worry about upgrading down the line.

Recommended (16 GB)

16GB of RAM is the sweet spot for all new games and the best money/value ratio in general. On the other hand, it’s worth mentioning that if you plan on heavy streaming and/or multitasking, 16GB might become your bottleneck. If that’s the case or if you just want your laptop to be as future-proof as possible – go for 32GB.

Best (32 GB)

As I said before, 32GB might be a little of overkill for just playing Call of Duty Warzone Pacific. But if your wallet is fat enough and you don’t feel like buying new laptop in a while – go for it! 32GB will let you forget about how many Chrome tabs you have there hanging and just run another application without no struggle. Streaming? Hard multitasking? No problem!

TL;DR
  • 8 GB is the bare minimum when buying laptop in 2021
  • 16 GB is the sweet spot for almost everyone
  • 32 GB is a very future-proof choice
